Heads Up, The Sumner Tunnel will remain OPEN during Labor Day Weekend! Construction on the tunnel will resume that following weekend on Friday, 9/9/22 until Monday 9/12/22.
Reparations on the tunnel began back in June of this year, it’s typical for the tunnel to close on weekends but except major holidays, such as Labor Day which will guarantee to bring some heavy traffic for the city of Boston.
